Each year at Knox, our Lenten Easter SPECIAL Appeal has focused on a "global" cause.

This year, Knox would like to support the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) by focusing on three key areas of dire need:

  • Venezuelan Humanitarian Relief,
  • Aid for Unaccompanied Children in Ethiopia (Sudanese war refugees)
  • and Winter Aid for Syrian Refugees.

The UN Refugee Agency, is a lifeline for people displaced by violence, conflict and persecution—helping them survive, recover and build a better future.  Currently the UNHCR are assisting 68.5 million children, women and men in 130 countries around the world.

If you'd like to read more about their work or the emergency funds to which Knox will be contributing, please click here, or type into your browser window. https://www.unhcr.ca/
