A large and enthusiastic crowd arrived early to chat with Connor Page, Emily Burton and Jiten Beairsto, members of the Gallo Chamber Players. The sanctuary space was beautifully lit with sunshine, and following the chat, the trio dazzled us with pieces by a variety of better and lesser-known Italian Baroque composers. It was a sumptuous performance. Each instrument had its chance to shine Jiten Beairsto on violin; Emily Burton on cello; and Connor Page on harpsichord each demonstrated their virtuosity.
The performance was followed by a highly social Italian-themed reception. The pasta bar was a big hit! Boots the Cat put in an appearance at the end of the afternoon, thanking the musicians for their inspired performance (and Emily in particular for her work at the cat shelter).
