Greek Easter tradition includes only red dyed eggs. The red egg symbolizes Jesus' blood.

Eggs are cracked, once on each side, by tapping the other person's egg. The process means "colliding or crashing," in Greek. This symbolizes the cracking open of Jesus' tomb. The participants say, hristos anesti, which means Christ has risen.

If the egg doesn't crack, it brings the holder good luck.
