Carcking The Code Sermon Series : Part 4 of 7
Text: Rev. 7:9-17
Sermon Title: “The Lamb Will Lead Us”
In chapters 6 and 7, John describes symbolically, the scroll, seven seals, four horsemen, colors, seven trumpets, the state of the world John and his churches were facing at the time and how the Lamb of God will lead those who would withstand the persecutions.
In a way, what John describes in his vision, the state of the world under the Roman Empire, is not unlike the state of the world we live in 21st century N.A. The difference is that the persecution against Christians in our own time then would come, more of persuasion than outright persecution.
The question is whether we will compromise our faith by the forces of empire or endure and stay steady and faithful.
For those of us who would not compromise with the values of this world – the ones who would be coming out of great tribulation - the ones who are washed by the blood of Jesus, the promise is that they would be led by the Shepherd.
