As the scripture says For everything there is a season ….

For Rev Liz it is time for a new adventure.  After all, she has put up with us for three years and let’s face it -  we are hard work!!!! She is ready to retire.

You know the  thing about retirement is that you never get a day off!

On November 26th  Knox said Good Bye to our beloved minister of 3 years Rev. Liz Bowyer.

Morning Worship was a De-covenanting Service with Rev Liz presenting the congregation with a number of symbols for our continued work.  Special guest musician Derry Byrne trumpeted with each and every hymn  in addition to a spell binding solo.  The choir totally out did themselves with a very beautiful and moving arrangement of “Standing on Holy Ground” – a request from Liz.  The congregation sang lustily - another request by Liz - actually that request was weekly!  Liz was thanked and blessed.

A farewell luncheon followed with conversation, storytelling, good natured jokes, a skit, an original song performance by the choir and gift presentations.  Just look at the photos and you can see that a very good time was had by all and because it is knox – of course there was CAKE!

Rev Liz,

Remembering how special you made all of us feel - thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all of your hard work, love and support of our Knox family.

Wishing you a happy exciting and wonderful retirement. Peace be with you.

We are pleased to share some photos of the clecbration.
