The basic thesis of Healing Touch, and other energy work, is that the human body is surrounded by fields of energy. Healing Touch works with that energy system around the body to remove blocks to the energy flow, to bring relaxation, to help in pain management, and to effect feelings of peace and wellbeing. It is not a substitute for medical attention. Rather, it is complimentary to other forms of treatment. |
The Healing Touch Ministry is part of Pastoral Care of Knox United Church and is available to you for free. The people who offer Healing Touch have taken courses offered through Healing Pathway, the governing body of Healing Touch for the United Church , based in Naramata. The Healing Touch Ministry meets to offer treatments in the Knox Fellowship Hall, 5600 Balaclava Street, the first and third Tuesday of the month: 1:00-4:00pm, and after the Community Lunch the 2nd Wednesday of the month.
